Puppies: 8 Weeks:

1st FVRCP, de-worm, begin Heartworm prevention Dogs
are placed on year-round Heartworm prevention and require annual
Heartworm tests. This is a
simple blood test and can be done once the pet has reached 6 months of
age. Vaccines Used:
Schering Plough vaccines are the most effective vaccines, as
proven through extensive laboratory testing. Neuter/Spay:
We prefer to spay/neuter when the patient is at least 5-6 months
old, as it is in the best interest of the pet. Heartworm:
Heartworm disease is on the rise in both cats as well as dogs. Please read the enclosed information and feel free to ask the
veterinarian any questions regarding how the disease can affect your
pet. We STRONGLY suggest
heartworm prevention and testing. We
require this for all boarding pets as to protect all animals in our
facilities. If you have any
questions or concerns regarding your pet’s care, please feel free to
speak to any one of your pet’s health care team members. For medical related issues, please direct questions to Dr. Michelle Brownstein or any other member on the medical staff. Thank you and we look forward to providing you and your pet long-term quality veterinary care. |
