Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Holistic Diet?

Your dog's behavior, happiness, health, longevity and overall well being are intertwined with what you feed him. You know your dog is receiving ideal nutrition if he displays the following behavior and appearance:

  • Vibrant energy
  • High exercise tolerance
  • Clear sparkling eyes
  • Lush shiny hair/coat
  • Easy to be with
  • Responsive to changes
  • Learns quickly
  • Good appetite
  • Clean breath
  • Times of deep silence but yet alert.

Symptoms of an animal just surviving on lower-quality foods are:

  • Excessive itching
  • Licks paws too much and gets hot spots or has eczema
  • Anal glands are impacted
  • Difficult to train or is aggressive with other animals
  • Large or very light-colored stools
  • Smells like a dog.

Your dog is a carnivore. He needs meat to fulfill his nutritional requirements. The cells in your dog's body need the correct nutrients to function properly, and all the nutrients need to be in the correct proportion for the necessary natural processes to happen. Nutrients are the fuel, and the type of fuel you provide determines the health of your dog on all levels: physical, emotional and mental.
